Artūrs’ family returns two days later, frantic and apologetic, only to find him calmly drinking herbal tea by the fireplace. The lodge is spotless (thanks to the modified vacuums), the thieves are in custody, and Artūrs has already drafted the blueprints for "Viens pats mājās 4: The Summer Cabin Security Suite."

A repurposed robotic vacuum cleaner is rigged with ultra-sticky local honey and feathers.

Artūrs realizes he’s being watched and begins "fortifying" the lodge using sustainable tech and everyday household items:

In a final attempt to climb through a second-story window, they are met by Artūrs’ masterpiece: a zip-line escape system that accidentally snags the thieves’ coats, hoisting them up into the pine trees like oversized Christmas ornaments just as the local forest rangers arrive.

The peace is short-lived. A pair of bumbling "tech-thieves," Sergejs and Viktors, have been scouting the lodge. They believe the house contains a prototype for a new renewable energy battery. They plan to break in during the height of a predicted "once-in-a-decade" blizzard, thinking the storm will mask their entry.

He syncs the house's smart-audio system to play thunderous folk music at 120 decibels whenever a motion sensor is tripped, disorienting the intruders.

His snowball launcher, upgraded with "heat-seeking" (thermal camera) sensors, stationed on the roof.

As the blizzard howls, Sergejs and Viktors attempt their heist. They spend the night slipping on solar panels, getting pelted by high-velocity frozen Riga Black Balsam truffles (Artūrs ran out of snowballs), and being chased by a "ghost" created by the home’s holographic projector.
