Trigon's origins began hundreds of years ago in a different dimension. A group of pacifists who had abandoned Earth founded the world of Azarath, where they attempted to purge all dark passions from their souls. This concentrated evil energy was cast into the Nether Realms, where it eventually took on a physical form.
