On board were five astronauts: Commander Sarah, Pilot John, Scientists Lisa, Marco, and Engineer Amy. Their call sign was YTS, Youth Survival Tactics—a program designed to prepare the younger generation for interstellar travel.

The mission was routine until an unexpected asteroid hit the Aurora , sending it careening towards the Moon's surface. The impact was catastrophic. The crew awoke to find their ship in ruins.

The crew and the guardian formed an unlikely alliance. In exchange for knowledge, the crew would help preserve the Moon's secrets.
