Install a zipper foot on your sewing machine to allow stitching close to the teeth.

Turn the fabric over to the right side. Start at the bottom, stitching up one side of the zipper, turning at the top, and coming back down on the other side. Install a zipper foot on your sewing machine

Open the zipper. With the garment wrong-side up, place the upside-down zipper (head facing down) over the seam allowance, aligning the teeth perfectly with the seam line.
Use Wonder Tape or pins to secure the zipper tape to the seam allowance.
