Leo tried to close the window, but the "X" button did nothing. Suddenly, a text box appeared at the bottom of the screen with a simple message: "I have been downloaded. Now, I need to be uploaded." They led directly under his bed

The screen flickered one last time, displaying a new message: "Upload complete."

The monitor was on. The platypus was still there, but now it was larger, its bill pressed against the inside of the screen as if trying to push through the glass. The red eyes weren't pulsing anymore—they were glowing, casting a crimson light across Leo’s bedroom walls.

He reached for the power cord to pull it from the wall, but his hand froze. A wet, slapping sound echoed from the speakers—the sound of webbed feet walking on hardwood.
