The story follows eminent marine biologist Dr. Emma Collins ( Tania Raymonde ) and her team as they study the effects of climate change on great white sharks at an abandoned fishing village known as "Little Happy". Their peaceful research is upended by the arrival of a scientific team led by Emma’s ex-boyfriend, Richard Lowell ( Nathaniel Buzolic ), who is hunting three genetically enhanced bull sharks that escaped from the previous film. The tension escalates as the humans find themselves trapped on a sinking islet, caught between ruthless mercenaries and evolved predators.
