You control Crash on foot in the MotorWorld hub, which features five themed areas: Mystery Island, Tyrannosaurus Wrecks, Astro Land, Tomb Town, and Happily Ever Faster.

To progress, you must collect and Power Gems by winning races, completing platforming challenges, or buying them from park drones.

By pressing the clash button near another racer, your car merges with theirs. One player drives while the other operates a powerful turret. Each character has a unique turret weapon, such as N. Gin’s rockets or Crunch's high-rate fire.
